About Homes by Hayman.

I’m Andrew Hayman, the name, mind and steady hands behind Homes by Hayman.

I’ve got a promise to make you: if I say we’ll do something, we’ll do it to the standard you expect or higher.

I’ve been building and renovating homes in Christchurch since 2014. I launched my own business a few years ago to bring fresh ideas to building, and set a new standard for quality work. The Homes by Hayman team have really succeeded in building trust with designers and homeowners to deliver high-quality houses.

There’s nothing we can’t do in the building space, so if you’ve got a grand idea, give me a bell.

You get in touch, and Andrew will get back to you within one working day for a quick chat about what you’re after.

Then we can meet at your building site or grab a coffee, go over your plans and talk about how we can make your build happen.
Let’s get this process started.

If you haven’t already got one, we can refer you to one of the trusted architects we work with.

Together we’ll make sure all of your requirements are included in the plans.
Then we price it up and bring you a quote. At that point, you may want to review design elements, materials, and finalise details. Andrew will work with you on that.

Once the drawings are done and the contract is signed, we get to the good part: hammering nails.

We manage the whole project, including subcontractors, and make sure every detail is met to a very high standard.
We welcome your input in this phase as a developer or homeowner – we love seeing you on site to talk about the build as it progresses.

When the job’s done, we walk through with you to make sure everything is up to your standard or better.

We then do the final inspection and code of compliance with the council.
You also have two layers of protection at this point. First, there’s the Homes by Hayman Three-Year Workmanship Guarantee. We’ll fix any problems, no hassles, no worries.
Then you’ve got the Certified Builders Halo 10-Year Guarantee. Read more about NZCB and the Halo Guarantee below.

Certified builders

Homes by Hayman is a Certified Builder and a Licensed Building Practitioner (LBP). The New Zealand Certified Builders Association (NZCB) is similar to the Master Builders, but we chose to join NZCB because they require that all members are qualified builders, and we think that’s better.

The NZCB Halo 10-Year Residential Guarantee provides much greater protection than the Building Act and Consumer Guarantees Act. Our builds go smoothly, and we don’t usually have any problems.

In the very unlikely event something goes wrong, the Halo Guarantee gives you protection. As an LBP, the government has licensed us to carry out structure and weather tightness work on buildings.
